Special copy for Composer

Enrique A. Cervantes

en el Ano de Mil novecientos veintiocho (1928)

Este Album fue hecho para la libreria del senor don Leopold Stokowsky

This copy made especially for famous composer LEOPOLD STOKOWSKY and thereafter owned by Frances Flynn Paine, well known in the New York art world and promoter of Mexican culture. She was a friend and early agent to famous artist Diego Rivera, as well as sourcing art directly for the Rockefellers.

143/4 x 113/4 inches. FOLIO.

'55 LAMINAS' (55 PHOTOGRAPHS). Large silver gelatin photographs on heavy, thick stock housed loosely in a clothbound portfolio.

pp. 1 title + 1 leaf insciption to Stokowsky + 55 numbered photographic prints 1-55 plus 1 extra unnumbered + 1 blank marbled leaf. Appears complete but possibly a unique volume for Stokowsky. This example  is larger than the couple other rare examples we found online.
