3 volume set complete, beautifully bound gilt stamped red cloth with numerous fine full page, tissue-guarded etchings and engravings, inner boards marbled, all page edges gilt. Pages are of heavier, quality stock.

Volume I: [2 blanks leaves]+[1 leaf half title]+[1 full page frontis engraving]+[2 leaves/2 title pages]+[2 leaves 'Preface'+'Contents']+[236]+[2 endpapers] with 14 full page engravings on heavy paper. Complete.

Volume II: [2 blanks leaves]+[1 leaf half title]+[1 full page frontis engraving]+[2 leaves/2 title pages]+[1 leaf 'Contents']+[244]+[2 endpapers] with 17 full page engravings on heavy paper. Complete.

Volume III: [2 blanks leaves]+[1 leaf half title]+[1 full page frontis engraving]+[2 leaves/2 title pages]+[1 leaf 'Contents']+[242]+[2 endpapers] with 16 full page engravings on heavy paper. Complete.

Very Good condition with minor edge and shelf wear, more so to volume I showing some fading to gilt and red cloth and a small stain to spine, a small spot of fading to the middle of the front cover, a tiny half inch tear to cloth on front cover. Otherwise a tight and complete set with fine interiors.
