Edition 'A' limited to only 50 special copies, of which this is #18.

Complete with 35 posters and the additional portfolio containing 10 loosely inserted additional posters. Both volume and portfolio are large elephant folios, housed in cloth-backed clamshell case, with a large leather label affixed to spine.

An exceptionally scarce copy of the premier Deluxe "Edition A", containing the full archive of 35 + 10 original, mounted letterpress posters and broadsides printed by the press between 1979 and 1995.

These posters feature a masterclass in traditional letterpress typography—including rare historic Caslon faces—printed onto an eclectic variety of vibrant handmade, Zerkall mould-made, and historic Oxford University Press papers. The sheets showcase original wood engravings and relief illustrations by celebrated artists including Hellmuth Weissenborn, Miriam Macgregor, John Craig, and Howard Phipps.

Edition 'A' features numerous and 'exclusive to this edition' linocuts, woodcuts, limited edition, signed and hand-coloured examples of fine press.

Some minor wear and scuffing to the clamshell exterior. Minor creases to the first blank flyleaf, and a crease to leaf displaying poster no 23 (see photos). Otherwise overall fine.
