Volumes measure 93/4 x 71/8 inches

Volume I (January-June, 1891): [2 blank end leaves]+[3-662]+[2 blank end leaves].  

Note that this is the only volume that does not contain Sherlock Holmes...He would make his 1st appearance in the next volume.

Condition is good. This volume showing the worst of the wear of any of the volumes. Exteriors show fading, minor soiling, rubbing with the volume slightly cocked to the right.

Appears to be lacking pages 1 and 2, and possibly the title leaf, front hinge cracked but solid...Otherwise complete and tight. Approximately first 30 pages show some degree of wear with a faint stain to the outer edge of page 30, first 15 pages having wear and chipping to outer page edges, pages 650-661 have some staining to upper hinge area of the pages with worst of the staining affecting pages from 656-661. Otherwise pages are generally in very good condition with occasional soiling, staining and foxing throughout.

Volume II (July-December 1891): [1 blank end leaf]+[2 leaves half title + title]+[1-670]+[1 end leaf]. Complete.

Overall very good with this volume having a different but contemporary binding. Exteriors show light wear and bumping. Interior pages are clean.

Volume III (January-June 1892): [1 blank end leaf]+[2 leaves half title + title]+[1-660]+[1 end leaf]. Complete.

Overall very good. Exteriors show light wear and bumping. Interior pages are clean, save for a few smudges and occasional light foxing particularly to preliminaries, front hinge cracked but binding tight.

Volume IV (July-December 1892): [1 blank end leaf]+[1 leaf title]+[1-684]+[1 end leaf]. Complete. 

Condition is very good with closed 2" tear to edge of leaf 227/228 , occasional minor foxing particularly to preliminaries, dent to outer edge of front and back covers.

Volume V (January-June 1893): [1 blank end leaf]+[1 leaf title]+[1-652]+[1 end leaf]. Complete.

Overall very good. Exteriors show light wear and bumping. Interior pages are clean, save for a few smudges and occasional light foxing particularly to preliminaries, inner front hinge cracked but binding is tight.

Volume VI (July-December 1893): [1 blank end leaf]+[1 leaf title]+[1-724]+[1 end leaf]. Complete.

Overall very good. Exteriors show light wear and bumping. Interior pages are clean, save for a few smudges and occasional light foxing particularly to preliminaries, front hinge cracked but binding tight.
