NEW 3 INCH TERRESTRIAL GLOBE

Colored globe on a cast metal base.

This same globe was also produced with a glass base, with the cast metal base being the rarer version.

Stated copyright date of 1891, depicts the German, Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian and Russian(with St.Petersburg) empires. Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Iraq are absent, as is Libya, and colonies are depicted in Africa. 

Stands approximately 51/4 inches tall, with globe measuring 3 inches in diameter.

Rarely found in this condition, the globe shows minor wear and light soiling. Note the misaligned gore or section to the right of Australia, resulting in a small amount of loss. This is somewhat common in globes of this era, and we've seen this in other examples on the market. Please see multiple, detailed photos.
