Paris: J. Langlume et Peltier, no date but circa 1835 and likely earlier. This is a rare 1st edition with the more common 2nd edition adding the stated date of 1835 and adding the word 'Nouvel' (New) to the title.
81/2 x 51/2 inches
Bound in gilt tooled black morocco over dark navy cloth boards and featuring 26 full page engravings.
[1 end leaf]+[1 leaf title]+[1 leaf 'Contents']+[1-116]+[1 end leaf]+26 full page plates. Complete.
In very good condition with exteriors showing some edge wear and rubbing, some foxing to pages, and lower edge of plate torn away between pages 26 and 27 (see photos).
