[2 blank leaves]+[*missing first frontis plate]+[1 leaf Title]+[6 pages 'Some Account of the Author's Life and Writings']+[4 pages 'The Publisher to the Reader']+[1-35 'The Postscript']+[10 pages consisting of 'The Epistle Dedicatory' and 'Preface']+[1-161]+[4 unnumbered pages of 'The Contents of the First Part']+[1 leaf full page frontis plate for the second part]+[1 leaf title to second part]+[10 unnumbered pages of 'Preface' to second part]+[223-498]+[full page Plate]+[2 end leaves].

Frontis to the first part is absent, and possibly lacking 2 leaves of Publisher's advertising 'BOOKS Printed for W.Mears' at the end. Otherwise complete as collated against the few copies found online.

Very Good condition. All flaws noted, although the majority are on the minor side and trivial. Please see numerous photographs for the worst of the flaws. Volume is priced taking into account condition and cost of repairs.

Missing first frontis plate / (possibly) lacking 4 pages of Publisher's adverts at end of the volume / front board detached / original leather spine starting to detach and lifts on 1 side but still holding well / what appears to be a burn mark or spot runs from page 57 and at its worst on pages 60,61 and growing fainter and gone by page 68 / small spot to outer edge starting faintly on page 147 and ending faintly on page 151 (not affecting text) / small light stain to outer edge of page 233 / small stain to outer margin, starting faintly on page 257 and ending on page 262 / small stain to outside bottom corner running faintly from page 307 to page 326 / small spot to outer edge of pages 336,337 / small spot to outer edge of page 344 /  small spot to outer edge of page 385 / 1.5 inch torn away from edge of pages 381,382 and pages 383,384 (not affecting text) / stain to lower outside corner of page 401,402 (not affecting text) / faint stain to upper edge of pages 465,466 (not affecting text) / sliver torn from outer edge of pages 497,498 (not affecting text) / old faint damp stain that runs intermittently throughout the volume, to the outside top edge of pages, affecting roughly 35 leaves.

Well worth rebind and repair as original parts, gilt tooled panelled calf covers with vibrant marbled inner covers, etc are present.
