Bound in full gilt stamped vellum, top page edges gilt and others rough cut. With yellow silk ties.

xix, 549, 24 full page plates in colour and tissue-guarded, 12 full page plates with tint, and with numerous illustrations in text. Complete.

Minor wear to exteriors, front cover a little bowed (as is very common with vellum bindings), and a pretty 1962 label affixed to inner front cover. Normal toning to page margins, a little wear to bottom right corner of colour frontis, crease to lower corner of page 7/8, minor chipping to the occasional outer page edge with many page edges 'uncut', minor foxing to very edge of pages 343-45, otherwise internally fine. Both silk ties have been replaced.
