With 8 Double-Page Maps.

Condition:
Original 17th century full leather binding showing wear and cracking, particularly at the joints. Covers still firmly attached but leather is cracked and worn through, covers mainly being held by the original cords. Spine gilt faded. Spine head and tail bands loose but still attached.

The first page 'THE MIND OF THE FRONT..' pasted to inner front cover. Frontis engraving of Raleigh not present (although I have seen other copies without this frontis). Some instances of pagination errors, as is common in 18th century publications (page number jumps from 654 to 656, 656 to 659, 751 to 754 for example but with no loss of text). 

Dampstain, mostly faint, affecting outer edge of some pages, mainly visible to approximately first 30 pages and the last 20 pages. 

Small hole to right edge of map at page 96. One inch closed tear to the lower edge of page 766 map, also showing faint staining at margins. 

*Pages jump from 922 to 1019...Oddly pages 923-1018 are NOT present.

Otherwise volume is complete with all maps, and with the majority of pages in clean condition. Text block is square and tight, while retaining it's original leather binding.
