FIRST EDITION / LATER VARIANT STATE with points:

  • Capital "T" in trees on page 156
  • "thirteenth" instead of "sixteenth" on page 156
  • words "he" and "his" are absent on page 242
  • Capital "E" in "eastern" on page 330, line 23
  • Publisher's Advertising on page 592

Good: Upper cloth spine torn, front cover partially detached but holding well, some wear to edges , bumped corners, some foxing and spotting to front and rear endpapers, former owner's name to 1st blank and again to title page, 503-508 and 525-528 minor chipping to bottom edges of pages (likely happened during printing). Otherwisetextblock is tight, square and complete with clean, bright pages.
