Complete in 6 volumes. Bound in black calf leather over hard pebbled green boards. 

Featuring hundreds of fine engravings.

Volumes measure 103/8 x 73/4 inches

Volume 1: xii, 576 pages, coloured frontis + 13 engravings on heavy stock paper. Pages 389-392 have come loose and have edge wear, stain to outer edge of plate between 550 and 551.
Volume 2: xii, 576 pages, +8 full page engravings on heavier stock paper.
Volume 3: xii, 576 pages, +12 full page engravings on heavier stock paper. 2 inch closed tear to lower edge of leaf 235/236.
Volume 4: xii, 576 pages, +6 full page engravings on heavier stock paper.
Volume 5: xii, 576 pages, +13 full page engravings on heavier stock paper.
Volume 6: xii, 636 pages, +12 full page engravings on heavier stock paper.

Volumes show egde and shelf wear with rubbing, chipping and scuffing to black leather. Moderate foxing throughout, a little heavier to the endpapers of volumes and to the engravings on heavier paper. Some soiling or toning to page edges. Majority of blank front and back end leaves are creased. Otherwise volumes are clean, tight and square. A complete set with a nice shelf presence.
