Bound in full vellum with gilt titles, top page edges gilt and others rough cut.

111/2 x 91/4 inches. A large thick volume.

1 leaf blank, 1 leaf half title/copyright, 1 leaf signed limitation page, xxiv, 509 pages, 1 blank end leaf + 16 full page colour plates and 7 full page illustrations in black and white. Complete.

Minor edge and shelf wear, some areas of soiling to covers and spine as is common with vellum, and a spot stain to the bottom page edges not affecting page surfaces except for the extreme edges of pages 166 and 231 (see photos). Small stain to upper gutter of plate between pages 420 and 421 (see photos). Some foxing to plate pages and their accompanying tissue guards, but otherwise pages are clean and bright.
